Polaris has developed a process for the purification of gases at low temperature, based on a cryogenic distillation unit composed by two columns in series (one for more lighter compounds and the other for heavier compounds). The process is continuous and completely automated. The system can be combined with several typologies of pretreatment, depending on the pollutants to be removed preliminarily.
Details on how Polaris specialist overcome the trade-off between economic balance and Ethylene recovery yield, as well as how the high presence of O2 were solved are enclosed in the complete pdf case study.
Key figures: High purity of outlet gas, high recovery yield
